To clarify, this is NOT a treatise against Christianity. To the contrary, distinguishing between the two disciplines (history and theology) places emphasis on the contribution of Christian theology. Both of these disciplines contain important epistemological insights. Christian theology should not be subjected to the same critical methods that history must be go through for accuracy. They are two different ways of knowing. History only applies to the physical realities of our world. Theology applies to the physical with an added assumption of the metaphysical elements pertaining to spirituality.
